Blair Coates

CEO

I started in the lawn and garden early in life because my father thought gardening was good for us. I just thought there had to be a better way than only hand tools. I would never have believed that 40 plus years later I would think mowing lawn was fun.  After college my wife Michelle, and a friend, and I started a landscape company. We were soon mowing over 700 lawns a week with only 3 Walker Mowers. This experience has been central to our family ever since. I also enjoy scuba diving, kayaking, and traveling. We are excited to see the growth of our friendships throughout the industry especially the Northwest.

Michelle Coates

CFO

I have been with the company since before it's beginning, and have worked in every department at one time or another: sales, repair (true), Parts Department Manager, and while serving in all of those capacities, was also head of the Accounting Department. I have been the CFO of the company for several years now, and try my hardest to stay out of the other departments. During all of my free time, I earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English Literature from Idaho State University, where I now teach part-time, which helps me keep my sanity. I look forward to continued success in the distribution industry, especially with the great team I get to work with!

Keegan Sorensen

Sales Manager

I have been working at Coates Landscape Supply since June of 2008. I started out assisting in the parts department and continued doing so for about 2 years. In that time period, I became very familiar with the Walker line as well as how things operated at Coates. After about 2 years of working in the parts department, I was asked to fill the Warehouse Manager position. This position opened the door to many new challenges and opportunities as well as adding to my knowledge and love for Walker mowers. The warehouse role worked very closely with the retail sales department of Coates Landscape and often times I would find myself selling machines to local customers instead of fulfilling my other duties. As Coates Landscape grew the need for a full-time Local Sales Representative became apparent. I naturally slid into this position since I was already doing some of it anyways. I have been doing local sales since the later part of 2012. I have grown and evolved with Coates Landscape and wish to continue to do so.

Josh Riggins

Parts Manager

2016 was my first year here in the retail department at Coates Power Equipment. I had 4 years of experience working with Walker Mowers as a landscaper previously, which has helped a lot in my transition to Coates. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work around such knowledgeable people and make a career out of something I enjoy.

Andy Linger

Lead Sales Technician

I have been with Coates Landscape since November 2004. I am currently the Service Manager for the Rexburg retail store. I am also involved with the technical assistance for the distributorship. I have a background in mechanics, electronics, welding, and fabrication. My certifications include: ASE Certified Mechanic, Kohler Expert Mechanic, Honda Master Mechanic, and Electronics Technical Certificate. I have enjoyed seeing the growth and expansion of the business. I am excited to see this growth continue in the future. I am excited to be the leader of the best service team. We will continue to provide exceptional service as this growth continues throughout the Northwest.

Taylor Thompson

Service Writer

I started working for Coates Landscape Supply in November 2014. I grew up locally in Rexburg, graduated from Madison High School, and am currently attending BYU-Idaho part time to complete my degree in Welding Technology – with an emphasis in business management. Currently, I have been working as the service writer at the Rexburg retail store and loving every minute of it. In the short time I have been at Coates I have come to know how the Walker mower works, I assist by troubleshooting and doing many of less complicated repairs. My job consists of customer service and my goal is to make sure that everyone is satisfied with the quality of service that we offer. I hope to continue to learn and grow to help provide people with the best possible experience.

Lissa Dobrusky

Administrative Assistant

I joined the Coates Landscape Supply team in January of 2007. I am the Admin Assistant and also over Whole Goods Inventory. I have 10 years of Receptionist and Admin Assistant experience previous to my employment at Coates Landscape Supply and I have worked in Boise, ID and Veyo, UT. When my children were young, I owned and ran a day care business for 7 years in Phoenix, AZ. I have 3 children and 1 grandson. I enjoy working at Coates Landscape Supply and look forward to being involved in this growing company for many happy years to come.

Phillip Coates

Marketing Director

I have been a part of Coates Landscape Supply since 1989, otherwise known as my birth. I have served as Parts Manager over the years, and as an Assistant CFO working in accounts payable and receivable. After leaving the company briefly to complete my Bachelor's in English from Idaho State University (emphasizing in professional and technical writing), I returned to serve as the Marketing Director and I am working out of the Portland, Oregon satellite warehouse. I look forward to helping this business continue to grow and change with the times. I am excited by the company's expansion into Oregon and Washington and believe our company will flourish as a premier distributor of landscape equipment in the Pacific Northwest.
